V-Day tennis

Mixed doubles event of the Runner Victory Day Open Tennis Tournament advanced to the final stage yesterday with the Sharmin Alam Sarda-Sajib Passi pair and Ishita Afroz-Mamun Bepari pair making the final berth.
In the day's semifinals at the Ramna National Tennis Complex, Sarda-Sajib pair eliminated Moumita Jannat and Akhter Hossain pair 7-5, 6-2 while Ishita-Mamun pair beat Bhabna and Sohan pair 6-4, 6-4.
Earlier, in men's singles, men's doubles, women's singles and women's doubles matches reached the semifinal stages while the mixed doubles and senior doubles (above 50) events advanced to the final stage.
