Boy abducted from Gazipur rescued in Gaibandha

The law enforcers rescued an abducted child from Dakkhin Santola village in Sadullapur upazila yesterday morning and arrested five people in this connection.
The arresteees are Aynal Mia, 37, of Hossainpur in Gobindagnaj upazila, Shahidul Islam, 24, of Santola in Sadullapur upazila, Aiyub Ali, 29, of Nodapur in Sadullapur, Mrihdul Islam, 28, of Khodapur in Sadullapur and Sohel Rana, 25, of Purbo Faridpur village in Palashbari upazila.
Criminals picked up Saiful, 3, son of Nuruzzaman of Gazipur district, on September 8 while he was playing at their homestead.
Later, the gang demanded Tk one lakh as ransom from the family members, said Shakwat Hossain, sub-inspector at Gazipur police station.
Following a case filed by Nuruzzaman, a joint team of Rab and police raided the house of Shahidul and rescued the kid, said the SI.
The arrestees were also cheating the villagers in the name of spiritual healing for long, he added.
