SAP expands in Bangladesh
SAP, a leading provider of enterprise business solutions in the world, renewed its commitment to Bangladesh by announcing its new alliances and strategic plans for the country in 2012.
SAP showcased many new innovative solutions like Mobility, Cloud, In-Memory, Analytics and Database Technology at the SAP Forum 2012, held at Dhaka on April 24.
At the event SAP informed that it already has a successful record in Bangladesh with some of the leading organisations and emerging businesses adopting its solutions to drive operational efficiency and growth.
It also told that as part of its initiative to expand its presence in Bangladesh, SAP is working with a number of local partners to develop pre-packaged and localised SAP solution offerings to help customers in Bangladesh adopt best practices and drive business transformation.
SAP also announced the launch of 'Optimise Udyog One' a SAP Business All-in-One solution localised and pre-packaged software that was developed jointly with its partner Optimal Solutions.
This solution specifically caters to industry requirements in sectors such as distribution, CPG (Consumer Products), chemical and fertilisers and enables all the business functions in an organisation such as procurement, manufacturing, distribution, sales, and finance etc. This specialised solution built on industry best practices will help companies accelerate implementation, optimise costs and improve productivity.
In continuation from last year, SAP also announced its plans to further strengthen its collaboration with multiple local education and other SI (System Integrators) partners to build a strong local SAP resource pool to meet growing demand for SAP skills in Bangladesh.
"Bangladesh is fast becoming a major economic hub in South Asia and we are excited to participate and contribute to this development," said Peter Gartenberg, managing director, SAP India.
