Child drowns

A four-year-old child drowned in Bhairob River under Avoinagor upazila of Jessore district yesterday morning. The deceased was identified as Badsa Mia, son of Abdul Jalil of Siddirpasa village in the upazila. Witnesses said while Badsa along with his mother was crossing the river from Dhulgram Khyaghat, the child slipped down from his mother's grasp accidentally at about 7:00am. Fire service and locals were trying to recover the body till filling this report in the afternoon.
