6 alleged bike robbers held
Police, in a drive from November 16, arrested a gang of six people for their alleged involvement in motorcycle theft in Chittagang and Cox's Bazar, and recovered three motorcycles from their possession.
The arrestees are identified as Murad Khan Babar, Asim Chakraborty, Md Rubel, Saddam Hossain, Mehedi Hasan Russel and Md Iyub.
A team of Halishahar Police Station led by officer-in-charge Md Jahidul Islam arrested the alleged robbers during drives conducted at Satkania, Lohagara, Boalkhali, Chakaria and in different spots in the port city.
Ringleader Murad was arrested first from Saraipara of Pahartali area. On Murad's information, police arrested the others from different thanas of Chittagong and Cox's Bazar, said OC Jahidul.
