Criminals killed two cattle traders, looted money and dumped the bodies near a brick kilin on Naogaon-Rajshahi highway at Shrirampur village early yesterday.
The victims were identified as two siblings--Altaf Hossain, 48, and Momtaz Hossain, 45, sons of Tasir Uddin of Pakuria village in Manda upazila.
Police said unknown assailants waylaid them while returning to village home from Rajshahi city cattle market on Wednesday late night. The gang killed them tying their hands and legs with rope and took away Tk59,400 and two cattle.
Locals found their bodies near a brick kiln and informed police who recovered and sent those to hospital for autopsy.
Police suspected that robbers might have killed them for the cash and the cattle and dumped the bodies there at night.
In Netrakona, police recovered the body of an unidentified youth in a marshy land in Dulli Boirati area of Kendua upazila on Wednesday morning.
Local people found the body of the young man, aged about 20, early in the morning and informed the police, reports UNB.
