Much to ponder before Pak series

After the end of the home series against the West Indies, the national cricketers go into Eid vacation, and almost all the national players will enjoy their holidays with their family members outside the capital.
The West Indies team left the capital yesterday morning for Delhi, all except opener Lendl Simmons who will leave for the Indian capital on November 5.
Mushfiqur Rahim's men will be back to business when they join their respective regional sides for the fourth round matches of the ongoing National Cricket League, which will start from November 14 across the country.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) made it compulsory for the Tigers to appear in the country's lone first-class competition if they do not have international commitments.
But former skipper Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal will not play the fourth round matches as they are all set to shoot a commercial in India during that time.
Both will then join the national camp for the next home assignment against Pakistan which is likely to get underway from November 18 at Chittagong. The national preparation camp will take place in the port city as the ICC Women's cricket world cup qualifiers will be held during that time at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
Pakistan will arrive in Dhaka on November 26 to play a T20 international, three one-day internationals and a two-match Test series against the Tigers.
According to Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim the just-concluded home series against West Indies was not so bad but still there have been some areas on which the Tigers' think-tank must focus before the tough home assignment against an in-form Pakistan.
The poor form of opener Imrul Kayes in Test cricket is a genuine cause for concern for the selectors and it was learnt that the Akram Khan-led selection committee has been looking for alternative options for the role of Tamim's opening partner.
On the other hand, pacer Shahadat Hossain's erratic performance in the Test series has been a source of frustration and the good news is that Shafiul Islam is likely to regain full fitness before the coming series.
Coach Stuart Law already hinted during the second Test match that they have to see if they are playing the right combination of bowlers.
A few changes are on the cards ahead of the Pakistan series but the main problem is that there has been a dearth of options available to the selectors to bring huge changes in the team.
The selectors however will desperately look to the Bangladesh A team's performance in West Indies where players like Rokibul Hasan, Junaed Siddiqui, Nasir Hossain, Sohrawardi Shuvo, Shuvogoto Hom and Jahurul Islam were also included in the side besides some young players.
