Tareque, Mishuk were murdered

Terming the deaths of noted filmmaker Tareque Masud and media personality Ashfaque Munier Mishuk as murders, speakers at a memorial meeting yesterday said this loss of lives shattered the hopes and dreams of the nation.
Bangladesh Udichi Shilpigosthi Central Committee organised the meeting at its central office, says a press release.
The committee members called upon the government to take immediate steps to prevent road accidents and said such deaths would continue if the government fails to address the problem.
The committee earlier observed a one minute's silence in memory of the five people killed in the road crash on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Manikganj on August 13.
