Academy win dead rubber

The GP-BCB National Cricket Academy managed a consolation win in the third one-dayer against their South African counterparts when they posted a two-wicket victory at the Sinovich Park, Pretoria on Tuesday.
Captain Mahamudul Hasan's all-round performance helped the Academy team, which lost their first two games by six wickets to confirm the series defeat, to secure a tense victory before the start of the four-day series.
The visitors made 189 for eight in 45.2 overs in reply to CSA Academy's 188 for nine in 50 overs.
Opener Tasamul Haque was the top scorer with an 87-ball 42 that featured three boundaries, while Anamul Haque added 34 off 37 balls, also with three boundaries. Captain Mahamudul Hasan was the other notable scorer with an unbeaten 62-ball 30.
Samuel Mofokeng claimed four wickets for 35 runs in 10 overs.
Earlier Josh Richards hit a 57-ball 51 as CSA Academy scored 188 for nine.
Mahamudul captured three wickets conceding only 23 runs in his ten-over spell.
The first four-dayer of the two-match series will start tomorrow at Tuks, Pretoria.
