Kidnapped Bangladeshis doing well
The five Bangladeshi workers, who remain hostages of Afghan miscreants, are in good health and have been moved to Mazar-i-Sharif town in Afghanistan, foreign ministry assured.
A press release issued yesterday by the foreign ministry stated “Dhaka has communicated with the released Bangladeshi workers who informed that the five Bangladeshi hostages are in good health and are currently located in Mazar-i-Sharif.”
Bangladesh's Ambassador in Tashkent, who is concurrently responsible for matters in Afghanistan, is in constant touch with the Afghan government as well as with the Korean company Samwhan Corporation in Kabul where the workers are employed, said the press release.
According to the press release, the ambassador is taking necessary initiatives to repatriate the body of deceased Kazi Altaf Hossain to Dhaka.
Bangladesh has formally requested Afghanistan to extend all-out support regarding the release of the five remaining hostages.
The Afghan government has in turn assured they would look into the matter immediately.
