BNP to list party men killed during this govt
The main opposition BNP yesterday announced that it will prepare a list of its leaders and activists who have been killed and injured during this Awami League-led grand alliance government.
“We will publish a list of our leaders who were killed and injured by ruling party cadres since the government took office in 2008.”
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, joint secretary general of BNP, announced the party decision in presence of BNP and its front organisations leaders and activists at a press briefing at party's Nayapaltan office.
He also accused the ruling party activists for foiling opposition rallies and processions by force in many parts of the country.
Alleging that the government is using administration to obstruct their programmes in grassroots, Rizvi claimed, “Ruling party is impeding our peaceful programmes by imposing section 144 as Awami League doesn't believe in democracy at all.”
The main opposition party is now observing a month long anti-government demonstration across the country in protest at the oppression of the ruling party.
Though, very few central leaders are seen attending the programmes outside of the capital, said party sources.
