Bus services on Dhaka-C'nawabganj road stopped

Bus service between Dhaka and Chapainawabganj came to halt as workers of Chapainawabganj Motor Sramik Union ransacked a Dhaka-bound coach at central bus terminal in the town at around 11:00am yesterday.
Motor Sramik Union workers attacked the bus as one of their member named Selim was allegedly assaulted by the staff of a Dhaka-bound coach on Sunday night.
They said Selim, a driver of local bus, wanted to go to Dhaka by a coach of Hanif Enterprise on Sunday night. As the coach staff refused to take him to the capital, he locked in a quarrel with them him. At on stage, they beat up Selim.
Hearing the news, workers of Motor Sramik Union intercepted a bus of Hanif Enterprise in front of the central bus terminal, damaged the bus and beat up its driver Shariful Islam.
Protesting the incident, Isharul Haque, general secretary of Dhaka Coach Service Association stopped Dhaka-Chapainawabganj bus service informed the Bus owners Association of the matter.
