Road accident kills 1

One person was killed in a road accident on Comilla-Sylhet highway at Uzanisher village of Brahmanbaria Sadar upazila in the district yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Md Dulal Mia, 22, a worker of Khaja Bakery, of Aaharanda village under Sadar upazila of the district.
Police said the accident occurred when a speedy motorcycle hit Dulal while he was crossing the road and injured seriously. He succumbed to his injuries on the way to Brahmanbaira Sadar Hospital.
The motorcycle rider fled the spot after the accident.
The body was sent to Brahmanbaira Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
