The organisation holds meetings and discussions on current trends in Bangla fiction, poetry, short story and other genres of creative writing. The members get together once a month.”
Selina Hossain said, “I'm elated to receive this honour. This will encourage me to be more devoted to my work. My writings have been included in the syllabus of Indian universities, including Rabindra Bharati, Jadavpore and Guwahati.”
India Institute of Planning and Management has introduced the Rabindra Memorial Award this year, and Selina Hossain is the first recipient of the award.
Noted writer Jahanara Nowshin said, “Selina's style is unique. Her writings are research based. She visits places to research for the themes of her stories. She is bold and outspoken.”
