Problems of expats in UAE discussed

Labour Wing of Bangladesh Embassy in Abu Dhabi observed the International Migrants Day 2009 on the embassy premises on Thursday, says a press release.
On the occasion, a discussion was held on significance of the day, prospects and problems of the Bangladeshi expatriates and the overall labour market in the UAE.
Bangladesh Ambassador to the UAE Md Nazmul Quaunine was the chief guest at the pro-gramme where representatives from various recruiting agencies, employers, Bangladeshi workers and members of Bangladesh community were present.
Counsellor (Labour) Md Moniruzzaman highlighted various issues concerning Bangladeshi workers at the programme.
Representative of recruiting agencies and Bangladeshi workers also spoke.
