Putin's visit to Iran…

Russian President Vladimir Putin made a visit to Iran recently; it was a historic visit--no Kremlin leader visited Iran since 1943 during World War II. And again, it happened at a time when there is a looming antagonism between Iran & the USA over the issue of Iran's nuclear pursuit, as alleged by the US administration --- though Iran has been denying it.
On the backdrop of a blazing Middle East, namely Iraq, the oil-rich country Iran has long been targeted by the USA on the allegation that it is trying to build a nuke-bomb; which, interestingly, is being questioned as the Bush administration is losing ground since its failure to keep the big lie folded, that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.
Under such circumstances, it will be interesting to see how things shape up in future in that turbulent part of the globe.
