Remembering Marlon Brando’s Dhaka visit

You have seen him in at least The Godfather, as Don Vito Corleone, let alone the other classics he was a part of. Don't you feel a twinge of excitement to know that this silver screen legend, Marlon Brando, once visited our city? And with that, a bit of regret too, pondering how awesome it would have been if you could actually see him in person, only if you were born in the right era and place!

Well, it's a little late for that of course. 

The actor came to Dhaka in 1967, as part of a UNICEF tour, where he met several artistes. According to a number of news reports of the time, he was here in Dhaka during a world tour that involved gathering support and participation of movie stars, musicians, et al from around the globe,for an international UNICEF show.
