Painting the terrace walls
Most people have a small garden in the terrace. This garden is your haven, your quickest escape from the stress of life. Along with the plants, you also need to take care of the garden's tools and showpieces and anything that is a part of it. This also includes the garden/terrace walls, which are often neglected.
First of all, keep in mind that for many people painting the veranda means painting a part of the exterior of the house. Therefore, your terrace walls can contribute to the overall look of your building.
A new coat of paint is a good way to improve the appearance of your terrace. It can even add a fresh new look to it. The paint of course needs to be superior, since the walls of your terrace often face the wrath of the sun. Good quality paint would ensure longevity. Beware of lead-based paint, as it is toxic.
On the contrary, many people also find it useful, and stylish, to use terrace covers and shades. This, to some extent, provides protection from the sun and the rain.
Whether it is monsoon or not, garden walls are very likely to suffer from dampness. Before painting, you may find it useful and beneficial to apply good quality putty. This coat of white cement can give an additional layer of protection.
Finally, consider adding designs and or drawings to the wall -- anything that adds to the outlook of your exteriors.
