The Modern life brings in a dramatic change to city life. Potentially, it has a large impact on employment, and in many places advance technology has replaced clerical work and skilled services.
Web, data analysis and availability of cheap computing machines and storage capacity have put an end to innumerable traditional white-collar jobs. In this technology driven society, many things in Dhaka city that have become obsolete in other places, are still alive and kicking--such as the horse cart, factum writer, typewriter, the street dentist and so on.
