Eastern University Mooting Team has qualified for the international rounds of the Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition (IEMCC) 2021-22, to be held in Florida, USA on 7-9th April, 2022. This is the first time a Bangladeshi team is participating in this competition. The team consisting of Ismail Ahmmed Chisty and Sanjida Haider Suha has been mentored by Mr. A.B.M Imdadul Haque Khan, Chairman, Department of Law, Eastern University. 

The team has won the 3rd position Bronze Award in the East Asia Regional Rounds of the Competition held in Seoul and Sanjida Haider Suha has received the 2nd best oralist award. 

The international final rounds of the Competition titled as "Protected Areas and Armed Conflict" will be organised by Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. It is worth noting that it is one of the most prestigious international environmental moot court competitions where teams from all over the world participate.
