KYAMC, Ibrahim Medical College to take part in int'l competition
Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College (KYAMC) and Ibrahim Medical College are going to participate in Siriraj International Microbiology Parasitology and Immunology Competition-2015, known as SIMPIC, to be held from tomorrow till Monday.
SIMPIC is an annual international competition, hosted by the Faculty of Medicine of Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand, which focuses on medical students who are interested in infectious medicine. The competition is comprised of academic and non-academic activities, and workshops, says a press release.
From KYAMC, Adhara Madhuri, Dowlotuzzaman Rajib, Bilash Shrestha and Maruf Hossain, all fifth year students, are participating in the contest being held with the theme "Emerging Disease: From Principles to Application", which is sparked by the recent infamous disease, namely Ebola virus.
Other participating teams include medical colleges from Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Myanmar, China and Thailand itself.
