I love the way Mbappe plays: Ronaldo

Former Brazil star forward Ronaldo said that he is impressed by France 19-year old sensation Kylian Mbappe and admitted that he loves the way Mbappe plays.

Mbappe had put in a great performance in this World Cup as he already scored three goals and two of them came against Argentina in the round of 16 stage. This saw the youngster become the first teenager to score two goals in a World Cup match since the great Pele hit a double in Brazil’s final win against Sweden in 1958 and level Pele’s 60-year old World Cup record. While Pele did it at the age of just 17, Mbappe has managed the feat at the age of 19.

Mbappe has often been compared to Brazil star striker Ronaldo because of his blistering pace and ability to fool defenders with mesmerizing skills. Even Ronaldo himself is impressed by the talent of the 19-year old as he wished best for the France forward in an interview taken by ESPN.

“I love him. I love the way he play. He is so young, so good and so fast. He is doing well and I wish him to continue do good.” Ronaldo told on an interview taken by ESPN.

There is a possibility of the five times World Champions to meet France in the semi-final of the World Cup if Brazil can overcome Belgium in their Quarter Final clash and France beat Uruguay in the same round of tie.

Ronaldo also realized this possibility and said that he hopes France would go out before meeting Brazil as it is always a tough game against Les Bleus.

“Always when we play against France is tough to Brazil. I hope France can go out before they meet us because it is a tough match. But we have a great team. We will see what happens” concluded an optimistic Ronaldo.
