Fazle Hossain Badsha flown to Dhaka by air ambulance
Fazle Hossain Badsha, lawmaker from Rajshahi-2 (Rajshahi metropolitan city), who had tested positive for coronavirus infection earlier, was brought to Dhaka to be admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital today.
He was flown to Dhaka by air ambulance from Rajshahi this afternoon after the 14-member medical board formed to treat him referred him to BSMMU, reports our Rajshahi staff correspondent quoting Dr Saiful Ferdous, deputy director of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital.
"The lawmaker is doing well, but his D-dimer report was a little abnormal," Dr Khalilur Rahman, head of medicine at RMCH, also part of the medical board responsible for his treatment, said.
"He was referred to Dhaka as he has the opportunity to receive improved treatment as a lawmaker," the doctor added.
The doctor also said that fatality risk can be minimised in the viral disease if treatment can be started early.
