Tom Hardy shocks crowd with surprise win at Jiu-Jitsu Tournament
On Saturday, Tom Hardy quietly entered a martial arts competition in a small English city. By the end, he had left the crowd stunned, after winning all of his matches.
The Guardian reported that Hardy entered the 2022 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Open Championship, which was taking place at a high school gym in Milton Keynes, England. He entered the competition under his real name, Edward Hardy, resulting in the spectators and competitors being shocked when he stepped out into the gym.
It felt reminiscent of Hardy's role in the 2011 MMA drama "Warrior", as Hardy came out of nowhere and went on to win all of his contests.
This is the second time, in recent months, that Hardy has participated in a martial arts tournament without any prior announcements. Just this August, the "Mad Max: Fury Road" star won the REORG Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Wolverhampton, England.
