'Rehana Maryam Noor' creates buzz at Kerala’s IFFK

Abdullah Mohammad Saad directorial "Rehana Maryam Noor" was screened as the opening film of the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), yesterday.

The protagonist of the film Rehana, played by Azmeri Haque Badhon was present at the opening ceremony, which was shared on the official page of the festival.

 

The caption of the photo, shared on the Facebook page reads, "Flawless! Azmeri Haque, the lead actor of the opening film "Rehana Maryam Noor" awestruck by the reception at IFFK. Rehana, which was the Opening Film of the 26th edition, is the first-ever official selection film from Bangladesh to be shown in the Un Certain Regard section of the Festival de Cannes."

According to the festival's official page, the film will be screened for two more days during the 8-day festival. The screenings are scheduled on March 21 in Tagore Theatre, and on March 23 at the Ajanta Theatre.

After being screened at the Cannes Film Festival, "Rehana Maryam Noor" has travelled to the Melbourne Film Festival, BFI London International Film Festival, Hong Kong Asia Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, Sydney International Film Festival, among other prestigious platforms.
