Mosharraf-Parno starrer 'Bildakini' to release in October
Indian actress Parno Mitra and noted actor Mosharraf Karim have paired up for the government-granted film "Bildakini", directed by Fazlul Kabir Tuhin. The shooting of the film has already completed and is set to release in October.
Based on Nuruddin Jahangir's novel of the same title, the plot revolves around a rape victim, who continues her battle against the social stigma.
In the film, Mosharraf Karim embodies the character of Manik Majhi, the son of a Baul (folk singer) whose life takes a dramatic turn when his father falls victim to extremists. On the other hand, Parno Mitra portrays Hanufa, a central character in the story. Hanufa's life is marred by tragedy as her husband is imprisoned on murder charges by a local chairman, and she herself becomes a victim of a brutal assault. Isolated from society during her pregnancy, Hanufa's story intertwines with that of Manik Majhi.
Reflecting on his role, Mosharraf Karim, said, "The story delves into the life of a young girl, and my character is intricately connected to her journey. It's a tale of two scarred souls who, amidst conflicts and adversity, find solace in each other's company."
Parno Mittra had previously appeared in the Bangladeshi film "Doob".
