Superstar Shakib Khan's production, "Maya", received a government grant in the financial year of 2021-22. The film, which will star Puja Chery alongside the 'King of Dhallywood', will be directed by Himel Ashraf—who will also be directing another production featuring the actor, which is titled "Rajkumar".

Recently, several news portals reported that the director had been dropped from "Maya". These reports did not have any clear answers from the producer of the film regarding the issue.

The people’s reception made me emotional: Shakib Khan

In conversation with The Daily Star, Shakib quelled all the speculation by saying, "Both 'Maya' and "Rajkumar' will be directed by Himel Ashraf."

Shakib is currently busy filming TVCs for Berger paints and SMC, two brands he has been endorsing for a long time now. "As soon as I returned to Dhaka, I became occupied with these shoots. I will soon complete the song for 'Leader Ami E Bangladesh', which is slated for release soon," added the actor.

The actor also shared that, since "Maya" is a government granted film, it has a deadline to meet. Thus they will focus on finishing the filming of "Maya" before they begin the shooting for "Rajkumar".
