Nora Fatehi gets trolled for copying Shakira in new song

Guru Randhawa and Nora Fatehi have teamed up for the song, "Dance Meri Rani," composed by Tanishk Bagchi, after the blockbuster hit "Naach Meri Rani". The track has Afro-beats and vocals by Zahrah S Khan, who sung Nora's recent hit, "Kusu Kusu". Bosco Leslie Martis has directed the music video.
The music video opens with Nora lying on the beach as a mermaid, who turns into a woman on being touched by singer Guru Randhawa. She goes on to dance like renowned singer-songwriter Shakira, reminding the viewers of the latter's "Hips Don't Lie" and "Whenever Wherever".
Nora is seen in blonde locks and a beige crochet bikini, much like Shakira in "Hips Don't Lie".
Being a professional belly dancer, Nora has always left the audience in awe with her amazing dance moves. Even though she was given the title of 'Desi Sakira' by many earlier, this time, some people claimed that she is a 'cheap' replica of the "Waka Waka" star.
On the other hand, some people found the look to be aesthetic and pleasant, but shared that the song failed to match the prequel and did not do justice to Nora's talent. They even complimented her dance.
"As an African who adores Indian music and movies, as most Africans do, I feel so proud of seeing Nora incorporating and introducing African dances or even music to India. It makes me so happy. Keep going forward Nora love, I will always root for you," one person remarked on YouTube.
