18 year old Sriya Lenka has made history by joining South Korean group, Blackswan. She, along with new member Gabi Dalcin from Brazil, trained for months under the group's label, DR Music.

After the exit of Hyeme in 2020, the label hosted global auditions to find new members to join the group. Sriya, born in Odisha, was scouted from over 4,000 applicants.

The news was announced on May 26, by the label's Instagram account. "Sriya and Gabi were finally selected as members of Blackswan after participating the global audition program for last 6 months. With their debut, we will be back with the new Blackswan," read the post.

Blackswan comprises of Youngheun and Judy from Korea, Belgium-based Senegalese rapper Fatou, and Japanese-Brazilian singer Leia. They debuted as RANIA in 2011, and then took the name of BP RANIA in 2016. They debuted as Blackswan on October 16, 2020 with the full album Goodbye Rania.
