Trader murdered in front of son: Accused killed in ‘gunfight’ in Dhaka

One of the accused in the case filed for the murder of Pallabi trader Shahinuddin at his Kalabagan office, was killed in an alleged gunfight with Rapid Action Battalion in Pallabi Eastern Housing area in Dhaka early today.

The deceased Manik (32) was directly involved in the killing of Shahinuddin that took place recently in front of his son, said Imran Khan, senior assistant superintendent of police of Rab's Legal and Media Wing.

Police arrested former lawmaker MA Awal, the main accused in the case, from Kishoreganj yesterday.
