Shahriar Kabir, Kazi Mukul elected Nirmul Committee president, secy

Eminent writer and journalist Shahriar Kabir and Kazi Mukul have been elected the president and general secretary respectively of the 61-member executive committee of Ekattarer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee.

The decision came today at the two-day seventh national council of the committee, which has been campaigning for the trial of the perpetrators committed crimes during the Liberation War for the last quarter century.

In the last committee, Shahriar was the executive president and Mukul was the general secretary.

Besides, a 31-member advisory council has been formed with Justice Mohammad Golam Rabbani as its president.  Justice Rabbani was the president of the outgoing executive committee.
