Get ready to win for 3rd time: Hasina to AL councillors
Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina today instructed the councillors of her party to take preparation for winning the next national elections for the third consecutive time.
Go to the doorsteps of the people to win the next general elections, the premier told the councillors.

The AL chief made the call in the second and final session of the 20th National Council of the party at Institute of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) in Dhaka.
After a gap of seven years, the AL returned to power by winning the December 2008 parliamentary election. It retained power through the January 5, 2014, “one-sided” general election boycotted by the BNP-led alliance.
The prime minister reached the venue at 10:00am, kicking off the session.
The council will be entrusted with the task of electing the party's highest policymaking new working committee.
A three-member election commission has been formed with Advocate Yusuf Hossain Humayun, prime minister's adviser Dr Mashiur Rahman and former secretary to the government Rashidul Alam.
The capital city Dhaka and major cities and towns have been illuminated and digital display boards installed to highlight the Awami League-led government's achievements.
The premier yesterday inaugurated the two-day council at the historic venue Suhrawardy Udyan, where Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman made his landmark 7th March speech.
