Two internet service workers die after electrocution in Mymensingh
Two internet service workers died from electrocution in Mymensingh's Bhaluka upazila early today.
The deceased are Md Alfaz, 28, of Jamirdia in Bhaluka and Amit, 25, of Barishal.
Quoting the locals, Officer-in-charge of Bhaluka Police Station Md Mahmudul Islam said Alfaz and Amit went to one Md Tanvir's house to set up an internet connection.
When they climbed onto the tin roof of the house, they got electrocuted as the tin roof had come into contact with a snapped electric wire, said the OC.
Hearing the news Alfaz's father -- Ali Hossain -- rushed there and tried to rescue the victims and was himself electrocuted, the OC said.
Locals rescued them and took them to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where doctors declared Alfaz and Amit dead around 12:30am today.
Ali Hossain is now undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Police recovered the bodies and sent those to the MMCH morgue for autopsy.
A case was lodged with the local police station.
