School boy missing in Thakurgaon for 5 days
A seventh grader of Molani High School in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila has been missing for five days.
Victim’s mother Meherun Begum said Mehedi Hasan, 13, went to his relative’s house at Madarganj village of the upazila on June 12.
But he went missing after he left the relatives house on June 16, she told our local correspondent today.
The missing boy called his cousin on June 18 and informed him that an unknown person picked him up and took him to an unknown place.
He also informed that he made the call as the man was asleep.
However, there has been no ransom demand.
After the phone call Mehedi’s family repeatedly made phone calls to the number, but the receiver made no disclosures.
Later, yesterday afternoon, Meherun Begum filed a general diary with Thakurgaon Police Station in this connection.
The victim is her only son and her husband pulls rickshaw in Dhaka. She urged the authorities concerned to take immediate effective steps to recover her son.
Contacted, officer-in-charge of Thakurgaon Police Station Ashikur Rahman said police is trying to rescue the boy.
