Paturia-Daulatdia ferry service resumes after 30 minutes' halt

Ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia route in the Padma River resumed after half-an-hour disruption this afternoon due to stormy weather.

The authorities of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) suspended the water transport services on the route around 5:30 pm in order to avoid untoward incidents, said Nasir Hosen Chowdhury, assistant general manager (commerce) of BIWTA Aricha sector.

On the other hand, plying of boats, speed-boats and other small boats have also been resumed on Aricha-Kajirhat route after suspension due to the same reason, our Manikganj correspondent reports.
