E-services open at Tangail land office

Tangail district administration has introduced an electronic service (e-service) under a programme titled 'Hater Muthoy Porcha' to help people get the certified copies of land ownership records, usually known as porcha, without much hassle.

Dhaka Divisional Commissioner KM Ali Azam inaugurated the e-service by receiving online applications through the registered digital centres at the record room of Tangail Deputy Commissioner's (DC) Office yesterday.

With the launching of this service, local people will not have to go to the DC office to get their land documents or for submission of application for seeking any document.

During the inaugural ceremony, the divisional commissioner handed over some e-porcha (electronic land ownership record) to the service seekers, who already applied online. 

Tangail DC Mohammad Shahidul Islam, Local Government department's Deputy Director in Tangail Sharif Nazrul Islam, ADC (General) Mosharaf Hossain and ADC (Revenue) Mostari Kadery were present at the programme.

DC Shahidul took the initiative to provide e-porcha services to the clients while ADC (Revenue) Mostari Kadery and her team implemented it.
