Coronavirus outbreak: Mobile court fines Saudi-returnee Tk 10,000

A mobile court today fined an expatriate Tk 10,000 for not following the government's direction of 14-day home quarantine at Ghior in Manikganj today.

Mazharul Islam Razu, who came from Saudi Arabia recently, is a resident of Baniajuri Bazar area in the upazila, our Manikganj correspondent reports.

The same court also fined Tk 50,000 to three grocers -- Nripen Ghosh, Sanjay Ghosh and Shyamol Ghosh -- on charge of selling essential commodities at a higher price in Baniajuri Bazar.

Ghior Upazila Nirbahi Officer Irine Akter led the mobile court around noon today.
