Bullet-hit body found in Cox’s Bazar

Police recovered a bullet-hit body of an unidentified youth, aged around 28, in Ukhia upazila of Cox’s Bazar this morning.

The body was recovered around 8:00am from a place adjacent to Cox’s Bazar-Marine Drive Road, said Mohammad Abul Mansur, officer-in-charge (OC) of Ukhia Police Station.

Local found the body around 7:00am and informed Ukhia Police Station of the matter, OC said, adding that the body bore bullet wounds on his chest.

Police were working to ascertain the identity of the youth and the reason behind his death, the police official told our local staff correspondent.

The body was sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
