Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at places over the country in 24 hours ending at 2:00 pm tomorrow, Rashaduzzaman, a Meteorologist at Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), told BSS this afternoon.

"Due to active monsoon, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions during the next 24 hrs commencing at 2:00 pm today," he said.

The heavy rainfall, however, may continue after the predicted time, Rashaduzzaman added.

Due to very heavy rainfall, landslide may occur at places over the hilly regions of Chittagong and Sylhet divisions, he said.
