The court also fined them Tk 10,000 each in default of which they will have to serve six more months in jail.

Additional District and Session Judge Shawkat Ali delivered the verdict in the presence of the accused.

According to the prosecution, a special team of police went to Mushribhuja village and raided a JMB member Rabiul’s house and arrested him on June 17, 2009.

After his confessional statement that some JMB men were trying to regroup at Bholahat, Shibganj and Gomostapur upazila in the district, Sub-inspector Mizanur Rahman filed two separate cases against the JMB men with Bholahat Police Station under both the Arms Act and Anti Terrorism Act on that very day.

Later, police arrested the rest of the convicts from different places at different times.

Police pressed charges against them in a case on August 12, 2009 while March 30, 2016, in another case.
