30 gold bars seized at Sylhet airport

Customs officials seized 30 gold bars worth Tk 1.5 crore from a Biman flight at Osmani International Airport  in Sylhet this morning.

Sajjad Hossain, an assistant commissioner of custom intelligence, said the gold bars, weighing three kilograms, were concealed in a box wrapped with tapes in the flight that came from Abu Dhabi and arrived here around 6:30am.

However, there was no immediate arrest in this connection.
