Woman hurt in DMCH ceiling plaster fall
She went to the hospital with her sick husband but now she is taking treatment with serious head injury.
Ruchea Begum, 55, was attending her ill husband when plasters from the ceiling fell on her in Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) today.
She was admitted at the ENT department of the hospital with head injuries, said Khaja Abdul Gofur, deputy director of DMCH, told The Daily Star.
“We have already asked the Public Works Department to repair the damage,” said the DMCH deputy director.
When she was going to the bathroom around 1:00pm, a portion of the ceiling fell on her leaving her injured, sources said.
Her husband Golup Rahman was admitted to room No. 303 of DMCH on January 28, the sources added.
