Two Cameroon nationals jailed in fake note case
A Dhaka court yesterday sent two Cameroon nationals to jail, in a case lodged over recovering fake Bangladeshi Taka from their possessions.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury passed the order, as police produced the duo -- Powkam Ticidgeo (30) and Mohammad Bah (27) -- after end of their tow-day remand in the case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahidul Islam had placed the duo on two-day remand on January 26, after their arrest from the capital’s Dhanmandi area on January 25.
Police on January 23 arrested another Cameroonian Bakao Gamara from Moghbazar area and recovered fake notes of Tk 1 lakh from him.
