For holidaymakers, Patenga sea beach was the most sought after destination. People from all strata of life turned up with family and friends.
Newly married couple Shamsunnahar and Arif Ahmed went to visit the beach on the Eid day. They said they were planning to visit Cox’s Bazar but decided to spend Eid with family members.
“Patenga [sea beach] is no less than Cox’s Bazar,” said Arif, who works at a financial institution. “This beach area has been revamped to attract more visitors.”
“It’s much more festive for us this year around,” he said while looking at his wife. Shamsunnahar, a lecturer at a college, smiled.
