Navy receives two modern warships
Two new warships equipped with modern technology and advanced equipment were received by the Bangladesh Navy at Chattogram Naval Jetty yesterday.
“Sangram” and “Prottyasha”, both 90 metres long and 11 metres wide, are capable of hitting enemy airplanes, ships and establishments, said Inter-Services Public Relation in a statement.
Made by China, the warships, with top speed of 25 nautical miles per hour, have deck landing and takeoff facilities for helicopters. They are equipped with modern artillery guns, and land-to-air and ground-to-ground missiles.
