Journos want gazette of 9th wage board before Eid
Journalists and employees of different media houses today staged demonstration to press home their 14-point demands including gazette notification of the ninth wage board before Eid-ul-Fitr.
Around 100 demonstrators under the banner of Bangladesh Federal Union of Newspaper Press Workers and Sangbadik Sramik Karmachari Oikya Parishad formed a human chain in front of the Jatiya Press Club around 11:45am, reports our staff photographer from the spot.

The government on January 29 constituted the 9th Wage Board to propose enhanced salary and other benefits of newsmen and employees in newspapers and news agencies.
Journalist leaders recently threatened to go for tougher agitation programmes if their demands are not met before the Eid to be celebrated in the first week of June.
