Death of Dia-Rajib: Another witness testifies before court
A Dhaka court yesterday recorded testimony of an emergency medical officer of Kurmitola General Hospital in a case filed over the death of two students of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College on July 29.
Medical officer Monjur Al-Morshed Chowdhury, told the court that Rajib, 18, and Dia, 17, were already dead when they were brought into the hospital.
Additional Judge Al-Mamun of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court recorded Monjur's statements.
With this, court recorded statements of 30 witnesses among 41 in the case.
Earlier on October 25, court framed homicide charges against six accused including two drivers, their assistants, and two owners of Jabal-E-Noor Paribahan buses.
On July 29, two Jabal-E-Noor Paribahan buses were racing each other moments before one of them ploughed into a crowd, killing Rajib and Dia in the capital's Kurmitola.
The case was filed with Cantonment Police Station by Dia's father Md Jahangir.
