Ataur Rahman inducted into AL Advisory Council

Noted theatre and cultural personality Ataur Rahman has been made a member of Awami League (AL) Advisory Council.

AL President Sheikh Hasina nominated Ataur, exercising her power bestowed upon her through the party’s 20th national council held on October 22-23, 2016, said an AL press release yesterday.

Ataur received the Ekushey Padak in 2001 for his contribution to theatre. He was born in 1941 and completed his MSc in 1964 from Dhaka University.
