Pro-AL man found murdered in Turag river
A Jubo League activist was found murdered in the river Turag in Savar yesterday two days after he had gone missing.
Police recovered the body of Al Arafat Sajal, 22, an activist of Birulia union unit of the youth wing of the ruling Awami League, with his hands and legs being tied up.
SM Kamruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station, said Sajal's father filed a general diary as he did not return after going out of home following a phone call of his friend Rocky on Monday night.
Following Rocky's statement after he was interrogated at the police station, police recovered the body, said the OC.
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for an autopsy. Sajal was murdered over previous enmity with some of his friends, including Rocky, said the OC.
