A man was hacked to death allegedly by his brother-in-law over family feud in the victim's house in Chittagong city's Badurtala early yesterday.

The deceased, Tauhidul Alam, 25, of Sundarpur of Fatikchhari upazila, was a painter.

Police arrested the alleged killer Jane Alam who worked with him Tauhid.

Tauhid used to live in his sister's rented house in Badurtala area.

Family feud over money related issue might have led to the murder, said Aziz Ahmed, officer-in-charge Chawk Bazar Police Station.
